These Bible verses for comfort have been a source of encouragement for people throughout time. Life can be hard and sometimes it may feel like we are alone in our struggles. But in times like these, it can be incredibly reassuring to remember that God is with us. He is our ultimate source of comfort. The Bible contains promises that remind us that we are never alone and provide us with the hope that we need to carry on.

One of the most comforting verses in the Bible is found in Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not leave you or forsake you."

Psalm 23:4 also provides comfort by reminding us of God’s constant presence, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Isaiah 41:10 offers assurance when faced with difficult circumstances, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you."

When we experience hardships it can be easy to fall into despair, but as Christians we have access to countless promises from scripture that offer words of comfort.

May the following Bible verses about comfort serve as reminder we can trust God in every circumstance, knowing that God will never leave us or forsake us, and that the presence of God's indwelling Spirit will be with us forever (John 14:15-17).
